Rev. Dr. Stanley Hearst Sr. Biography Pastor of Bethel AME Church, Moorestown, New Jersey Pastor Hearst was born in the heart of West Philadelphia, educated in the Philadelphia Public Schools, is a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and was employed by the Federal Government for 23 years. Dr. Hearst is an adjunct professor at The Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS) in Philadelphia, PA and sits on the Development Committee with the Board of Trustees as the Alumni Representative. African Methodism has trusted Dr. Hearst with several pastorates over the years and he has been serving faithfully at Bethel AMEC in Moorestown, NJ since November 2003. Dr. Hearst teaches in the Ministerial Institute, serves on the Board of Examiners, the Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee and the Ministerial Efficiency Committee of the New Jersey Annual Conference. Dr. Hearst is married to the former Sharon Y. Carter Gray of Steelton, PA. Together they are the proud parents of Kasean Gray and Licentiate Stanley Hearst II, who is currently enrolled at Payne Theological Seminary. Dr. and Mrs. Hearst are the proud grandparents of Julian D. Gray and Tory M. Gray.
